Yeesh, a long time in coming!
"Oh shit. Not like this. Not like this " He cried, not trying to move the vehicle in any way so he would fall. Frantically attempting to rub the blood out of his eyes, he peered cautiously out the window. Below him lay empty air, and the only thing keeping him from plummeting was the guard-rail. Leaning forward against the wheel, Davis prayed to any and everything, eyes squinting hard.
He heard a distant engine, and hope flared to life. He opened his eyes in time to see a truck come around the corner just a little too fast. Davis recognized it as the truck he flipped off. With a small groan of disdain he squinted his eyes again as the truck accelerated, massive chrome grille glinting in the setting sun, large exhaust stacks billowing out black smoke, tinted windshield as black as the devil's heart.
The impact slammed Davis' forehead hard into the wheel, lights in his mind exploding in brilliant shades of pain. Weightlessness settled in as the car plummeted downwards, the world spinning as shattered glass floated and spun, getting stained red as it met with droplets of blood, dancing to the silence. It seemed like forever he fell, one eye open, one eye squinting against the pain. He passed out before the impact, much to his benefit.

Posted by Kain-Ceverus May. 11, 2008 @ 8:52 PM EDTOkay, here's a small teaser from Chapter 2 of my new book.

Cecelia giggled. Vincent climbed the tree with monkey-like agility. His white sleeves were rolled up so they wouldn't get caught. He took off his black leather dress shoes so they wouldn't scuff. Halfway up the tree, Vincent hunted for apples. It was a picnic after all, and they lacked an essential piece: fruit. Cecelia sat below on the blanket, a simple dark-green sundress, hands planted behind her as she watched Vincent scour the apple tree.
"Aww man! The pickers got most of 'em." He said as he continued his search, Cecelia watching patiently from down below. He stole a quick glance down at her. The golden sun shone across her slender yet sturdy shape, the sunlight setting her eyes fiery green. Vincent lost his concentration, as well as his grip on the tree and fell.
After an ugly fall, he landed on his back with a thud. Cecelia was by his side in an instant, looking him over as he began to giggle. She noticed he was covered with mushed apples. He was fine, but clutching his stomach.
Cecelia arched an eyebrow in question to his giggling. Vincent pulled a twig out of his ponytail. He caught her eyes and arched an eyebrow of his own as he took his arm away from his stomach, and he held one single apple in his hand, undamaged.
"Sorry sweetheart, I could only save one." He said with that playful wink he knew she loved. She leaned in close and locked fingers with him, delivering a soft kiss. He returned it in earnest, and whispered,
"I love you Cecelia..."

The words echoed in his mind, the warmth left his body, her scent left his nose. All he felt was the leather of his couch, smelt the pine air. Wiping the tears from his cheeks, he sat up and looked at the clock. 7:42. 'Today is a new day...' he thought to himself.

I've written about 9 pages of chapter two. I'm basically now "settling in" the main characters, letting the reader become comfortable and happy at the thought.
Life seems to be going so well for Annah and her savior. I didn't let the reader know His name until the end of chapter one because I felt a unique introduction was in order for such a unique protagonist. I won't tell you his name either :P
My life is going awesome too. I work at six-flags new england now as a ride attendant at Mind Eraser, Crimewave, and The Dark Knight. Training is pretty simple and straightforward, and at 40$ a day doing easy mind-numbing work, why not? I think too much as it is anyway.
Big news though. I did an exam to become a maintenance personnel at my local Post Office Processing Center. It's where all of the state's mail comes through, and let me tell you, it's fecking HUGE. They're expanding by another 30%, so they have a ton of job opportunities, and I want in. A job there is an incredible find. I'd actually be set for life, and be able to retire [if I started working this year] at 42.
Also, a quick note on the Center. I couldn't help but feel as though I was in the ShinRa Electrical Company building. Guards everywhere in matching uniform, a cafateria, workout room, resting area, and you need a keycard for every single door, including the bathrooms. I would absolutely LOVE to work there ^_^!!!
But yeah. I love it.

I finished the first chapter of my book [18 pages in my scrawled handwriting on lined paper, 9 on the computer with standard font] and I've been having trusted people around me read it. They are FREAKING OUT. Everyone loves it! One of my more trusted peers says that if I don't write the second chapter soon, he's going to eat my family. He said it jokingly, but after we stopped laughing he said "I'm serious, Nik..."
O-o
Cannabilism aside, I shall begin to write the second chapter. I need to get over this little negative hump occuring in my life, and it seems only one person's hand is reaching out to help. As I take her hand, I'm filled with a relaxing feeling, as I know she's gonna help me make it right. God damn I love you, Kelly. You're the only person who's ever there for me and I promise some day to repay the favor 10-fold.
She's what's keeping me going, I suppose is the synopsis of a 6 thousand character bunch of paragraphs i deleted just now. She's everything to me, and I'll never stop fighting for her.
Chapter 2 begins Monday.

I began today at 1 PM, and am already on page 9.

I'm beginning my new book, since my old one couldn't take flight due to certain circumstances. I'm working on a title, but for now I think it might be "A Chain of Glass". It's going to be a science-fiction book, romance, action, the works. I've got about 50% of it in my head. I'm working on getting a name for the main character, and I've narrowed it down to a few. "Terry" is one, "Angus" is another, and of course I could do what in my eyes is selfish and name it after myself. After all, he IS basically me, with a few changed parts, of course.
I hope it to be at LEAST two books, and my goal is three. The first part will only be an introduction, a 400-fucking page introduction, to introduce readers to all the characters, to the plot[s], setting[s], and relationships between them. I don't want someone reading it to go "Who the fuck is that?" and get confused, get frustrated, and throw the book into a fire. It may burn pretty, but if you pick up a book, don't put it down until it's done! ^_^
I've been planning A book for about 6 years now, and I've finally pushed away from everything just a little tiny bit on each side to make room for this. Now, i've got it in my sights, and I'm about to fire.
I welcome any insight/comments/ideas.

I'm always PMing alastor or rage with all these goddamn shitty topics and spam threads, rule breaking pictures and harassers. If I was a mod I could cut out the middleman and just get rid of all this crap that people feel like putting on the BBS. I less-than-three the BBS, and I wanna get ridda alot of the stuff I hate on the BBS. I'd probably follow Zerok's banning guideline that he made in his profile, since I agree with 100% of it.
I see that huge list of mods and such, but I only ever see at most 10 of them, not all online at once mind you. Alastor, VPOY, Rage, BBR, Jade, and Zerok. Those are the only active mods. We need more active ones, and to get ridda the old ones who aren't active.
I want to begin the new breath of life into the Mod category, but first we need to exhale all the used air out.

So I won't be in here much, but instead scrawling furiously into a notebook, then my nice leather-bound lined-paper book. Mmmm, leather.

Observation of Subjects
Subjects: Senior Class
Subjects have an inter-woven network of communication that isn't electronic. Simply through gossip great amounts of information can be exchanged in as little as a few short words or sentences. Certain intimacies between these specific groups of subjects all have a similar trait: they lack the intellectual prowess most people in real life require to live.
It seems that for every intelligent person in all aspects of life, not just a few specific subjects or proficiencies, there are 6 to surround him/her. Subjects exhibit signs of lack of mental process, almost an inability to think. It seems that the more hostile a person is, the less processing power there is for use. Occasionally, it will rise, but ultimately drop lower than the original sub-processing level.
Some people are well rounded, however, and have simply a lack of understanding but ultimately can be enlightened so they may function above average. One needs to simply apply one self, or ask for assistance.

I've begun a scientific journal that studies people. My next blog-thing will be the first page, and so on.
